How Would You Like To Be Eaten?

How Would You Like To Be Eaten?

I'm a Dory fish, same as you I don't want to die,
you say that God planned it this way, goodbye,
how would you like oil poured upon you, nice and hot,
white wine, coriander, lemon grass and a forget-me-not?

The knife comes towards me, used deftly with skill,
please have some compassion luv, don't damage my gill,
you see my eye still looking at you, notice a tear?
don't think it's nothing, not everything is as it would appear.

Look how you take everything for granted, that's just life,
didn't think about my emotional turmoil, stress and strife,
oh well, I hope you enjoy my juicy parts, as you mutter,
remember the Brit ad - 'I can't tell Stork from butter.'

You can't have it all your way when you eat - pause,
I'll tell my crab friend to give you a nip with his claws.
