HUMDRUM LIFE

Just an humdrum life this dear man has led
Goes to work and makes sure the cat is fed
Has fish on Friday and sugar in his tea
Nothing ever exciting happens to he

He closes his curtains every evening at eight
Routines he has several and never been late
Not sure his age I'm guessing at forty four
See him every Saturday at the same bookstore

So which is better free spirit or life of humdrum ?
A difficult answer I'm sure to this conundrum
Probably a bit of both is what I would say
Will leave you with that as I go about my day
