I Believe

I believe that without the sad people,
That commit a  heinous crime.
We would find it Increasingly hard to define,

between right and wrong.

Or How to appreciate the love,

we've enjoyed for so long.

We need to experience a little pain,

Every once in a while.

To value the joy, 

That you can feel,

When you make someone smile,

That tangible and real.

The pleasure you receive from each selfless act,

As you reap your reward,

from the way they react.

I believe that humanity has the ability to forgive,

To lead by example,

To show how to live.

We can't be dragged down by evil and hate,

as together we best communicate.

The true value of each person  that we see,

As they try to be the best,

They can possibly be.
