I close my eyes

i lay in bed, a 16 year old feeling alone

I close my eyes, I open my eyes, and its as if I moved forward in time 

To a time I am happy, I can feel it in my gut, I also feel the warmth of another laying next to me

I feel a presence that feels familiar. I feel a hand on my waist. It feels right. It feels safe

I place my hand on top of the mystery hand and Our fingers intertwine. I slowly turn my head

I want to savor the moment but I also wish to see who  the hand belongs to. I meet his eyes

I am immediately lost yet I know this is where I am supposed to be. My lips meet his

All of a sudden my stomach is filled with warmth, butterflies, and swirls. This is the love of my life. 

I enter his embrace and melt in his arms. Never wanting this to end. But like all good things, it does.

I close my eyes, I open my eyes.
