I Cooked At Benihana

I Cooked At Benihana

Many years ago in Cincinnati, before moving to Boston and I left;
A very good close friend of mine, was Benihana’s great Head Chef!
His name was Hiro Takahashi, and he always cooked for me;
We played golf together often, real cool buddies did we be!
.
One night while at his table, he said “Larry, my dear friend”;
“Take my hat and wear it, then some time as cook please spend”!
He sat down next to my lady, a real beauty I used to date;
And I became the Benihana Head Chef, ten appetites to sate!
.
The others at the table, could believe not what they saw;
Me cooking their dinners for them, they had to all guffaw!
Of course, it lasted just some minutes, till I gave Hiro back his hat;
The people then applauded, when back in my seat I sat!
.
.
                         Old friends come to mind
                       Great memories of the past
                               Stories of my life
