Poem -

I Died Today...

I Died Today...

I died today....
And in this grave forever I will lay.
No more pain,
For I will never feel again.

Please don't forget about me,
As I will always need my family.
To bring me trinkets, and perhaps a flower,
And pictures of you so I can remember.

Mark my grave so that you can see,
With something that reminds you of me.
When you come please don't cry,
And whatever you do please don't say goodbye.

Please pass along my stories to your children,
So that I am not ever completely forgotten.
Tell them of the life lessons I have learned,
For these are stories I have earned.

I only hope that I leave upon this place we call home,
A great legacy for others to learn and grow.
And may you know you'll never walk alone,
I'll be right beside you,
For this I want you to know.
