I Heard it on the Radio
I love rock and roll, the beat of the drum and the metal, the string and electric guitars
Take me to that place of classical music, where you can dress all up and ballroom dance
Old time stories told, broadcasting was big back then, the latest news, the baseball games, listening with family and friends
The good oldies are hard to beat, Chubby Checkers, Elvis Presley, wow, all the big stars, legacy of fame amends
I heard it on the radio, another big hit for the old country boy, George Jones, might have been his last chance
He'll go down in history, other singers, inspired me, playing the piano, like Elton John, Rocket Man, really sends me, and who could ever forget the Beatles
Hip Hop and rap are hot, love that rhythm they give em, never forget the best of the best
Barbara Streisand, Memorie's, and Helen Ready, I am Woman, Aretha Franklin, Pink Cadilac, and many more
Enjoying the music, living the life, decades to cherish of the records they recorded, I'd buy them all if I could have afford it
All because I first heard it on the radio
