Poem -

I love my dinosaur (for my son)

I love my dinosaur and my dinosaur loves me,

Even though he roars and bares his teeth,

Even though he stomps around and swings his tail,

Even though he eats my things and rips into our mail.

I love my dinosaur and my dinosaur loves me.

Even when he's being loud and making lots of noise,

Even when he's tipping over my box of toys,

Even when he's being silly and causing a commotion,

I love my dinosaur and my dinosaur loves me.

Even though he tramples on my teddies and knocks over building blocks,

Even though he steals my food and changes all the clocks,

Even though he gets me so deep into trouble,

I love my dinosaur and my dinosaur loves me.

Even when I'm being quiet and my dinosaur is not,

Even when he bangs on all the pans and pots,

Even when he puts his footprints on my windows,

I love my dinosaur and my dinosaur loves me.

Even though I sometimes get the blame for all the mess,

Even though it wasn't me but I'm made to confess.

Even though he gets me so deep into bother.

I love my dinosaur, but I wouldn't have another!
