I Love You Always

Your touch so well known so very absent.
Haunts me in the times I need you most
Your easy laugh and sparkling eyes lit up every room.
On our wedding day you ran out of gas  I recall your worried face.
But I was calm I knew my guy
He wouldn't let me down.
Darling for over 30 years You stood with me through the trials.
Eased my fears and dried my tears always at my side.
We raised our kids and had our fights some doozies I recall.
But through it all I had it best because you loved me
after all.
Now you are gone the way all men must.  
Your body laid to rest.
I am here and so alone. To remember you and mourn.
I am not afraid of dying now because I know for sure 
I can count on you to be right there when my time is here.
