I Miss My Mama’s Voice

The way she would kiss my scuffed up knee after she bandaged it
See I just learned how to ride a bike and didn’t see that tree
My mama always took good care of me
But what I loved most was her funny sense of humor and laughter
Her made up bedtime stories her love for humanity
The way she made me feel I could conquer the world
But most of all I miss my mama’s voice
As I kept all of her messages on my phone
See I play them over and over again just before I go to sleep
I look up to the heaven and hope she never forgets my voice
As I tell her how much I miss her and her beautiful funny face
Mostly to hear her voice in my ear and in my heart forever I shall keep
Mama please just speak to me
