Poem -

I Remember . . . . . .

I Remember . . . . . .

When the brown eyes smiled and said hello,
stopped me, because there was nowhere else to go,
only succumb to aura, everything I know,
time stood still on horizon, above and below.

When you said: 'I want you,' I said: 'I'm here,'
never left, couldn't move, when you were near,
this was new, where were the bonds that tie,
I was free but that was just a lie.

When you went away, you were still there,
a coin pressed in your palm, left so fair,
the space you had occupied was chiselled out,
a soft cushion of air left me in no doubt.

That your love would return, looking over
a shoulder, calling me to be your lover.

Nice work Terry.
I like the feeling I got from reading the poem.
