I Remember

I remember the days you came to my room.
Snuggled with me and I felt safe with you,
Protecting me like a prince with his princess.

I remember the days you come to comfort me.
When I was sad and you dried my tears and told me,
You told me that one day, you would get me everything I wanted.

I remember the days you told me you would marry me.
You said you wanted no one else.
I would smile when you said that, for I loved you too.

I remember that day when I was 8 and you were 5.
We were in an accident and I gave you my strength.
And then you were awake and I was gone.

I remember that day when I was born again.
I went to school and excelled.
But I just wanna see you again.

I remember when I told you I’d find you again.
I said I would find in the my next life.
Do you still remember me?

I remember your bright, hopeful face, asking me to be your friend.
Why was life so cruel?
Why did Death take me away from you?

I remember your last words, we were sharing cake and you said, β€œThanks, Jen. I love you.”
Then the crash came and then I was gone.
I fought. Fought so hard but I lost.

I still remember you.
Do you remember me?
Because I still love you. Still want you. Do still you want me?
