I Search For You

I search for you in places.
I see glimpses all around me,
In faces,
Traces in the language of bodies,
That move past me,

Sometimes I find myself,
Standing completely still,
So I can see,
So I can capture the beauty,
That once was,

I often find myself travelling,
In lands of the exotic and tropical,
Full of beauty so breath-taking,
That it totally consumes me,

Day after day,
I find myself bathing in waters,
Cradled under mystic skies of blue,
In all the majesty that is,

My darling,
I search for you in places,
I see glimpses,
I see traces in people that meet along the way,
Your image is burnt onto my retina,
It will not go away.
