She was caught between who she is
And who she wanted to be
She became her own obstacle
That kept her from being free
Her fears kept her paralyzed
She was too afraid to make a move
But she took a step of courage
For she had something to herself to prove
She stopped making excuses
She stopped getting in her own way
And when fear began to bully her
She stopped giving it the time of day
Everyday, she got a little stronger
As she fought to reach her goal
She's happy with who she's becoming
