I will not grow faint of the melodies 
Born of my tongue
I will stomp through the fields with boundless joy
In the secret embrace of the realms

Yes, I will sing 
The ancient songs my grandma taught me
songs of praise and of soothing sound
I will sing

If I can cry rivers through my laughter
Then why not rejoice through my agonies?

I will weave together the right words like poets do
And with bloody patched wounds
I will clear my chords and mend my broken heart

Through the harmonious notes
I will allow my pains to flow out from the depths of my veins
I will sing the songs of praise
For redemption's grace has touched me

I have been tossed, stirred, and turned a million times
And even if I try to tell, nobody else but I will understand 

Hence, I will continue to sing amid my calamities
I will sing even when I cannot let out a voice
Because my heart does it better
I will sing the songs of gratitude

Because I made it through all kinds of pain
I will sing
