I wish we rode on horses
that ran through meadows
and picked flowers in the rain

I wish we held hands  when we were angry
and kissed when we were sad
I wished we loved like it was yesterday

seemed like roses and wine
soothing music at night
and swimming pools in the summertime
we sang like birds in the morning

I wish we held each other like love songs
I wish we hummed to the tune
I wish we were celebrated like birthdays
 in the middle of june
I wish we were cold like the winter
so we could make angels in the snow
I wish we were hopeless and helpless

the memory in your mind
