THE ACCUSER

Regret chased me down
Leaving no stone unturned
With punishment and torment
For every hard lesson learned
He replays it over and over
And beats me up with shame
Pointing his finger at me; he says;
You're guilty! You're to blame!
If regret is my judge
And guilt is my jury
I don't have a prayer
And I've got reason to worry
I laid upon my pillow
I tossed and turned all night
I couldn't live with my guilt anymore
I finally I told him; You`re right!
He was shocked and speechless
There was nothing he could say
When I agreed with my accuser
And he went his merry way

Thank you Linda. I was being tormented about past mistakes and things I couldn't change. I lost a lot of sleep until I understood Matthew 5:25!
I'm so glad you liked it! Thank you! :-)
YES!! GAYLE!!....I felt relieved by your ending.....made me want to jump up and give you high fives!!.....because you outsmarted him.....by using his own momentum against him....and (metaphorically) back-flipping him and sending him dizzily walking away!!......BRILLIANT stuff!!...still has me smiling!!......smokin' grooves!!......ALL STARS!!.....LOVE and ROCKETS!!.....T xo ?✳✴☀♥
