If I had a say to speak

The day was such that in the sky
the grey cloud waved its own goodbye
and in its place the sun would prance
and walk the walk and dance the dance
and down below her eyes appeared
to the future being written for
a girl, who lived - though times would test –
who’d wave the wave and rhyme the rhyme
for now, poetic life she lived
that girl, now woman – mother, wife
who bloomed with colour – call her Spring
with insight of Professor’s kind
she’d do (and be) most anything
be it Summer, Spring, Winter, Fall
as seasons came and seasons went
leaving behind a wishing well
of what we live for – now, not when
the sky reverts to grey cloud sigh
like fashion trends, the tide will turn
let us not ask the reason why
for answers are a world away
a world we share such little time
and if I had a say to speak
my eyes would search for thee and thine.
