Illusions

The night came and the darkness beckoned you,

And all they ever did was to lie their way,

It was you they’ve always wanted to screw,

They won’t’ care, they won’t stay,

So why should you?

And then, in the night, killed by your dreams,

In madness shouting whispers of pain,

You hear mischievous hollow screams,

They won’t care, they won’t stay,

So why should you?

While in the shadows of the morning, yawning,

The screamers passing by, unnoticed,

From the foggy window, you can see the dawning,

They won’t look, they won’t pay,

So why should you?

The paintings laughing in your doleful face,

Closing yourself inside and then,

Running down the stairs, with sorrow taste,

They won’t help, they won’t care,

So why should you?
