I'm Bigger Now

I collect lighters and knives,
So I feel no more pain,
So I don't need,
To hide my tears in the rain.
I collect objects,
Both tiny and large,
I feel in control,
Big like a barge.
I've got protection,
So you can't hurt me anymore,
I'm big enough now,
To hold shut the door.
No longer can you stuff,
Soap in my mouth,
Can't lock me in the dark,
Tell me to go south.
You can hit me all you want,
But I can hit back,
I'm bigger now,
That is a fact.
You can't beat answers in my head,
I'll learn them on my own,
If you kick me out of your house,
I'll find me a home.
You can't hurt me anymore,
I'm not the same,
I'm bigger now,
Cowardice is not my name.

Hey Stephanie,
Second place amongst so many entrants, is a powerful place to be found, great job....You are bigger than ever and in more ways than one...We watched you grow here on this site and each and every poem you submitted, in return you acquired an ability to grow from presentations...Fear has no seat in your manner and we commend you for your stamina to hang in there and the fortitude to be all you know you can be and beyond...Proud of you and hope to see even more wins in your corner, including this one..
Cheers,
Jim Â
