The broken one,
Undeserving,
Inadequate, 
Unable to articulate,
Feelings new,
Brain askew,
Overflowing thoughts of you,
Guard up,
Unable to rest,
My brokenness cost me the purest love,
One could ever hope to have,
My brain soulmate,
My sexier half.

These masks I strain to remove,
Rusted,
Corroded,
Dented in place,
You fell in love with the unmasked face,
I pull and I pry,
To no seeming avail,
I swear I try,
Each time I fail.

I keep on trying,
Cutting deep removing,
The parts of me,
That contradict authenticity,
To get under the masks,
Keeping you out,
My feelings spoken for you are true,
I'm my most me when I'm with you,
I'm still fighting to be a better me,
Cutting and prying more everyday,
One day the masks finally chipped away,
