I’m Sleeping in the Soft Snow

On a long lonesome journey I’ m going
Oh darling, and please don’t you cry
Though in this snowy morning
I will go on my journey
In the lonely winding icy road

At night through the window 
I gazed at the stars
I long for your warm smile in vain
A heap of snow I will use for my pillow
While I’m sleeping in the soft snow

Hold my hands to yours once, my darling
Let’s wander together in this tough road
In heartache you’re my consolation
In sorrow you’re my haven of rest

At night through the window

The wishes that we had were in vain
A pile of snow I will use for my pillow
