Poem -

I'm walking dead

~~You want me to smile
With life in my eyes
But I’m dead
And I’m tired of lies
I’m dead.
Can’t you see?
Face the truth
It’s right here

one of the walking dead
Some horror that lives in its bed
I know that It’s best left unsaid
An alien’s captured my head.

When you see me breathing I seem to be well
But I’m walking dead and living is hell
An alien entered and said “oh, how swell!”
“I’ll capture her mind, I’m sure she won’t tell.”

He lives in my body, far yet so near
He eats my intestines, but not that I care
He blocks my emotions and makes my eyes tear
Makes me take actions that make others stare

He’s senseless and soundless
Can’t touch, taste or feel him
Yet somehow he creeps up
And makes me believe him.

so when people wonder why I’m so depressed
and judge me for being and looking so dead
I know that adults find the truth hard to grasp
But truly, an alien captured my head.
Besides, like I said, I am walking dead.
