Improvement
I don't just write for reason
Or take myself too seriously
Throw caution to the wind sometimes
Embracing life's stupidity.
Boundaries tested, personally
I play with words and themes
Not everything in life is really meant to have a meaning.
Randomness of thoughts
Can often lead to blue sky thinking
Sometimes we just do some things
Because that's how we're feeling.
In simple terms, proficient
Sometimes words come easily
In other ways I'm vacant though
Lacking creativity.
Verse and limericks
Seem to be within my comfort zone
But I'll try anything
Experiences help you grow.
So if I didn't try
Then I wouldn't ever know
Whatever I think I've got right
Can always be improved on though.

I agree John, my work often has several drafts because I have a book that I write the finished poem in, therefore won't commit until I am totally happy, well most of the time anyway lol. Really enjoyed this and going to give you a well deserved vote. Good luck.xo
Thank you so much Donna! I'm so glad you enjoyed it, and I'm so grateful for your time, interest, comment and vote! I used to use notepads, but often filled them with crossed out sections or entire poems crossed out, to be left with maybe 5 poems I'm fairly pleased with. Now I just use the memo on my phone, and have saved loads in pens and paper! Lol!
