In my shoes

In my shoes

Until you’ve been in my shoes
Then and only then can you express your views

Don’t pretend you know my pain
That’s not something I wish to entertain

I’m not looking for any attention
Forgive me if you find my words rude
It wasn’t my intention.

For once I would like to walk into a room
And not be looked at like I’m a freak.
Simplicity is all that I seek.

So save you judgment and sympathy.
It will only add to my misery.
