In Search Of Freedom

Life is but an illusion
mind trapped in an earthly body, tossed in confusion.

what is our purpose? Why are we here?
the answer i still search as we step in the new year.

there are many things that we aint told
the truth would be a start before i get too old

its like life is designed to keep us down
pulling us into the deep ocean until we drown

the people in power have all the control
but i refuse to sell out an give them my soul

So here i stand on this lumpy bumpy land
in search for a better world that we can all understand
