The Indian's Soul

The Indian's Soul

For each step taken on a journey to our promised land

A stone must be thrown, and then lands, it stands still for a meaning

The path of our past, with every written memory, a story is told

You do not read it, it is not visible, it is the feeling, the spirit

It guides you into the forest, where nature breathes the life

And it is part of the mountain, and the valley, with the courage

Below the waters, the stones lay even deeper, each stone a story

For the time we touched this earth, with our horses, our feet, and our belief

Our death never in pain, but in  pride, and in smoke and flame we rise

The story never ends, because our native land and sky will never let go

Of the true story, of the Indian's soul
