Inside Your Head
There was no space left, just like the phone,
so not surprising that cramped if it be known,
there was little tolerance for you anymore,
only acceptance that an alternative was poor.
Then they say that of course she meant well,
but the outcome was doubtful, who could tell;
I am patient, as I'm a chess player, used to all,
but even my calm was taxed, no longer magical.
The things we have to deal with, bring it on yourself,
definitely not good, why should you jeapardize your health;
why should we suffer fools and the outrageous fortune
of slings and arrows, my kingdom for a horse - a knight of course.
I congratulate my self on fortitude, in for the kill,
you can't even touch, make an impression on strong will.

I agree with Cherie.....love the references to chess and knights etc. I used to play chess long time ago....I would say I'm out of practice but know the basics still. I'm still learning different poetry styles like sonnet. Px
There are some things in life that really test us... especially surrounding relationships. Sometimes we do our best only to find we are at checkmate... x
Hi Tina,
Thanks so much -
we have another expression: zugswang -
which means sometimes there's nothing
you can do, like catch 22.
We go on.
Love,
Terry.
