Iracabeth

Iracabeth

Some people lie, it's true they do
What hurts the most is when it's the one closest to you
Two young girls were each given a treat
But told only one, for it was almost time to eat
They left to their rooms to frolic and playย
But one of those girls chose to be sneaky that day
She crept back in the kitchen when no one was looking
Her mouth watered over the treats,
Though she could smell her mothers cooking
She took them back to her room she shared with her sister
Crumbs fell to the floor she knew her but would blister
She kicked them beneath her siblings bed
But when confronted by her sister she was caught in the red
Their mother walked in to get them for supper
And noticed her dears arguing with each other
She noticed the crumbs and asked the children
The innocent spoke to dispel the confusionย
She said her sister was trying to frame
And spoke ill of the sweet little dame
So the mother asked her out strait
She denied the sweats that she ate
So the mother came to a different inclusion instead
And told the innocent, they are under your bed
In shock and disbelief
She ran out the house and into the street
To the center of the city into the square
She tripped and hit her pretty head the damage can not be repaired
As her head swollen and grewย
Her ego appeared to grow with it too
This queen of hearts has swollen with pride
Because her sister lied, it opened her eyes
She will control the world and control what is said
So no one can hurt her again, or laugh at her head
So as you see the smallest of lies
Can lead to a road where everyone dies
And in the end isn't it better to be honest
Because now the wrath of iracabeth is upon us

Deb thanks so much

iracabeth is not mind it's the queen of hearts from Alice but the emphasis on lying is my twist on my version of the taleย

Very creative tale. I'm kinda big on honesty, so the telling rings a bit of truth for me lol. I've never heard that name before, but I love it for a title. Found this imaginative and full of inspiring creativity. :) Blessings, Rebecca

Thanks Rebeccaย

i got the name because they used it as the queen of hearts in the movie Alice through the looking glass my whole poem was inspired by a scene in that movie I took creative licensing in the rhyming and the pressing of lies but this is more of a tribute to the film than an original
