Isn't It Funny

Isn't it funny
How they built  this country. . .

On a foundation of money?

No love
No respect
No dignity

To them, cash and flesh are the same  you see

And it's a shame that they were blind to see,
We could've built this country together, . . .willingly

And they  didn't have to enslave
Neither  force the natives  from their land

How many of  us understand,
They've enlarged their scope  of slavery?

Plantations reach
Socially
Economically
And demographically

Isn't it funny
How they built this country . . .

Mortar mixed with blood, sweat, and tears

Bricks of power
Bricks of wealth
Bricks of greed, disguised as necessary

Stacked on the backs of human money

To them, cash and flesh are the same you see

Isn't it funny. . .

How they built this country?
