Poem -

"It Get's Better"

People act is if talking to someone for an hour once a week will fix you.

Like shoving pills down your throat to make you smile faintly is something humane.

As if all your broken pieces were still there,

when in truth your fragments scattered everywhere from your room to the craters of the moon.

Like the harm you do to yourself is a cry for attention,

well maybe its a cry for help.

People believe that telling someone who’s life has fallen apart,

who has destroyed themselves and everyone else around them,

that “it get’s better” will give them hope.

People don’t understand until they get cut on the broken pieces.
