It Shouldn't Matter

It shouldn’t matter the color of our skin
It shouldn’t matter if something is made of plastic or tin
It shouldn’t matter if we’re thick or thin
We are all the same
Just different personalities and different names
We all have a beating heart
We all get torn apart
It shouldn’t matter the anticipation
As long as we are all participating
It shouldn’t matter who makes more
We all walk out different doors
It shouldn’t matter where we came from
Some of our journeys has yet to begun
We are all human
We all want to have fun
But we should spread love and not hate
We still have time. It’s not too late
Respect is something you earn
So treat someone how you’d want to be treated in return
We’ll start with it being your turn
