IT'S A ME ME WORLD

It's a me me world in society today 
Selfish and greed are having their say 
What's in it for me and what do I get ?
People look after themselves I write with regret 

The must have item I must buy 
I want it now before I die 
Whatever happened to think of others before yourself? 
It's now out of fashion replaced by greed and wealth 

The me me world is a sad state of affairs 
Where nobody thinks of others and nobody cares 
I like to think I'm the exception to the rule 
Looking after others to me is hip and cool
