It's Over

Once there was a love, burning bright and true,
But unfortunately, my dear, you had a different view.

A one-sided affair, no matter how I yearned,

In vain, I hoped, as the tides had turned.

Never thought it would come to this, my heart’s lament,

Yet destiny stepped in, and took love as payment.
