Jack And Jillian

AÂ modern nursery rhyme
Jack and Jillian were sweethearts
They lived on a midwestern farm
Ravaged by drought one summer
Lack of water sounded the alarm
So they set out to fetch a bucket
At a spring not too far from home
Half mile down the road they traveled
Came upon a hill they had known
As they started up this familiar hill
Jack lost his footing and fell down
Jillian came tumbling after him
They both had broken their crowns
Jack got to his feet immediately
Ran home as fast as he could caper
Wrapped his head with a bandage
Of vinegar and handy brown paper
Moral of this modern nursery rhyme
Never trust a fellow named Jack
He'll love you and leave you stranded
And will probably never come back!

Good one, Jack...from TO.
Hey ho, my fellow countryman! Thanks a bunch!
No prob.
Say, I've posted a bunch of stuff over the past week...and it would seem that many folks have read them...but comments are only tricking in. Are these people shy, or what?
Only been here for less than a week and I have found the same thing. Many, many visitors... very few comments! Find it a bit strange! I also belong to Poetry Soup and I'm used to many comments on every one of my posts! Just getting my feet wet... I like the format though! How long have you been a member, my friend?
About a week or ten days.
I'm a member of Bookrix.com for over 3 years. THere they comment a lot. Also there I have over 100 submissions...Stories, poems and art.
Was on FanStory for 3 years and now Poetry Soup for about a year and a half! Have roughly 1000 submission posted there... ALL poems! Going to check out Booktrix! Thanks
Bookrix
