Journey to nowhere
Steps...
Rather be in wonderland
In my brain without a worrying strand
It`s hard to imagine a clock hand
Where a crowd feels less alone
A gauge of hot and cold - stone
Of bought or sold
Of young and old
Of chaos and balance
Trek this grind with malice
Where steps become slopes
While it twists and turns
An impossible road
Guide the alone.
Without the compass, there is no map
Without the sail no ship
Without the wind, we wouldn`t break mountains
And the world would remain unchanged
"Stick in your lane"
As we progress with endless, meaningless strides
On a paved path, Journey to nowhere
We must focus our attention
On the things that matter the most.
Footprints, hardened earth.
Traces, shadows and ghosts.
Choose your steps wisely.
The Fish of the Sea.

Between my meds and the earth reeling under my feet from your words I had to look straight ahead to keep from falling over! Awww thanks so much, Jim. I feel stunned that you hold me to such high regard. The Cosmos is such a supportive place and I love showing my support for others. I really appreciate each and every one of them, but I write poetry for no one other than myself! Cause I don`t talk to many people every day, I use it as a way of getting everything out of my head. A rubbish bin of sorts Lol! Sorry if that sounds bad but you get what I mean. And if others find it enjoyable and decide to comment just a bonus for me.
