Poem -

junior dilema

junior dilema

imagine the shame
of losing 10 thousand team points,
for Benedict..
and having to stand
in front of the house..
and explain..
What horror you had committed.
instigated by a teacher
who is supposed to nurture
a young interlect..
I got a sum wrong..
I miss calculated..
and for that
I suffered the terror
of public humiliation
and exposure to my error.
at nine, I felt bancrupt
They  liked to
intimidate children in the sixties
with their miss constrewed hate.
That teacher was a bastard.
I did say,
I have not lost them,
as they don't exist..
But they didn't quite get
the gist of what I meant..
After that I made my own rules..
just the same as making points
