Just Like That

Sadly, the grey tail was no longer
seen
Not a hint of a paw print in the
mud or the snow

Summer came by and did not bat
an eye, then winter came, greedy,
with a lightening sky

And gladly, when spring brought
magnificent bounty
Not mouse, bird or rat in the
entire county

Was sad or did cry, not one tear
was shed,  just no more grey
cat, no, 
Grey cat was just dead
