Poem -

Just...Breathe

Just...Breathe

the wind blew
through the cracked
bedroom window
sheer curtains
cascading freely
dancing to
nature's sweet
melody
carrying the scent
of new beginnings

eye's slowly open
as her heart
has long awaited
this very moment
her pulse races
as excitement fills
her chest
and liberty
flows through
her veins

night's darkness
fills the room
as the plush blankets
surround her cozily
bringing comfort
from this
long season's chill

the moon remains
hidden
behind the large
sleeping willow tree
which brings forth
a calming serenity
which only her
heart can feel & see
as it has been her
very own melody
her nightly lullaby
to bring a peaceful
slumber
as she knew wishing
stars,
although never seen
birthed from this very thing

the heart of nature's call
brings her to her feet
mesmerized by
what she can now see
as the flow of curtains
brush her feet
tears spill out of her eyes
as the dust of the
newly seen  moon
fills her lungs
brilliant diamonds
shine from above
lighting up the night sky
making her feel as though
she can fly

fingertips reach out
as she felt she could
touch this brilliant
Galaxy of stars
a nightlight of diamonds
a masterpiece of the heavens
a gift from God himself
just for her
letting her know
************
dreams are still alive
hope is never lost
peace does exist
the heart is finally free
and now she can .....
just breathe
