Justice for Fathers

You were only three
The last words he said
I love you, see you tomorrow
A father pledged

Plans were changed
 to your fathers dismay
He never got to take you to the park, that day

Relationship broken
Some people are not meant to be
Your father loved you, dearly
You just never got to see

 Bitterness, lies , destroy
Your father never stood a chance
Deceitful family
wanted you to themselves

Court case for three whole years, seemed an eternity
He fought to his heart content
It became harder
when you got a step father

Kicked to the kerb, he didn’t fit in
Supervised visits once a month
wasn’t enough to build a bond
You didn’t want to come
They finally won

They took a piece of his heart that day
knew it will never be fixed
Gloated
they rejoiced
Now you fade away
Into distance

Hi Lisa, Fantastic Piece, really heart rendering. Its the children that suffer the long term effects of the parents inability to see eye to eye. I hate that children are used as weapons to destroy ex partners when a parent who wants and fights for their child should be given to opportunity to be so.

So sad! I have personal experience of this, being forced to live without my 4 young daughters, thanks to a cheating ex wife! Sadly, the system favours the mother, and many good dad's grow apart from their beloved children as a result, however determined they may be! Great write! Bang on point! 5stars!
much love.

Hi john

sorry you went through this with 4 of your girls , it’s heartbreaking
there are so many good fathers out there
I know there a demonstration where fathers got together dressed as superhero’s and protested to the courts the injustice system for fathers
I don’t know if it changed anything though

hopefully it will happen one day ?
