A King Bled For Me

Billions of angels that worship Him alone
Ivory palaces of grace and streets of gold
Magnificent and glorious
With the view of a clear fountain
Before the throne
He left it all to become a Savior
He left the beautiful sound
Coming from the Cherubims
Who sang "Holy, Holy, Holy"
To come down to a place where
The horrific words rang out
"crucify Him! Crucify Him!"
He left the Crytsal river behind
And found Himself hanging on a cross
Begging for water
With His life line, becoming shorter and shorter
He gave up His Royal crown
In exchange for the dreadful crown of thorns
Angels sang His praises, saints worshipped Him
But as He hung, He was greeted with scorns
He was revered by all, honored by heaven
But cruelty mocked Him
And hailed Him the King of The Jews
Oh! How it would have been
To personally hear the horrid news
The kind man from Galilee
Brutually beaten, whipped and spat upon
Rejected and abused by His very own
All His suffering happened on Friday
That "Good Friday"
When for our wretched sins
He came to pay
BUT!
Sunday was coming!
The day He defied death, hell and the grave!
That day He freed every slave
For OUR King, rose from the dead
Easter Sunday, a Sunrise Morning
The women who came to wail at His tomb
Only found two angelic messengers
Who told them the great news
Jesus is risen!
Why seek ye the living amidst the dead?
And with all that being said
They ran to spread the good tidings
Our Savior has conquered! He reigns supreme!
Long live the KING of the redeemed!
