La mujer

There she sat, on the rock hard stairs
shy was her voice at first
singing her spanish song
her hands trembling holding her humble guitar
but then as the rhythm of the music grew catchy she started shining.
And that’s when the crowd turned heads towards her.

giving her all to the people that passed by
and as i sat on the very same hard stairs i wondered
why her talent wasn’t playing on the radio
why the world wouldn’t let pure and vulnerable people into hollywood’s paradise.
