Labored Rose

 Labored Rose

Fickle brier's thorn prick soft thine heart,
Blood welled after unforeseen depart.
Comes valiant lover with rejection's cure,
Laundering the stains again pure.

Benevolently dabbing crimson tears,
Disillusionment mars past yester-years.
Unwinding barbed thorn tightly wrapped,
Enchanting the heart again intact.

Harbor not the erratic injurious thorn,
Cast away doubt and unforgiving scorn.
Gentling the torrent crimson cascade,
Humbling the guilty for damage made.

Love so leery, to theΒ labored rose,
Intrigue aroused as ardor grows.
Cradling thine tender repaired heart,
Steadfast secured a damaged part.
