Land That I Love

What is the day without sky, without play, without a mystery?

Love and behold the beauty, the trees, the flowers, bees, and the fields

Of wonder, the moments in time, the land around us, the air we breathe

The many clouds above, the artistic form of glory, and the waters that run

Deep and pure, the silence of the night, the dark of the forest, and the smell of pine

In the mountains, the stone of many, the etched native life, in a world we do not know

But the feeling of envy and the spirit of the many stars, the sun beams across the miles

Of land that I love, the marvel and brilliance it moves me, and I feel alive inside

What more could I ask from the time I have been born, the first time I stepped upon the earth

A feather of my beloved friend of flight, the wolf of my soul, with his wisdom I do not fright

I have known nothing but the best, the most wonderful gift, it has inspired me to be

The best of everything, it is my love that has set me free for all eternity, the light of the earth be so bright
