Laughing At The Moon
They found the water, we were all the same colour,
not like you with your sun, we stayed as we were,
look how you argue, you don't appreciate your beauty,
we have a dark side, you'd like to know our mystery.
Your skins are pock-marked, we have craters too,
once in a while, you can even see us as blue,Â
you should lighten up, have some of our serenity,
might meet you if you came to the Sea of Tranquility.
We saw you when you landed, one step for mankind,
unless you can be decent, then us you will never find,
we don't want your jealousy, your childish apartheid,
you won't change, just get worse, it's all too late.
Now it's time to accept what really comes into sight,Â
you should know that the old man in the moon is white.

Quite intriguing write - "the old man in the moon is white" - just wonder what's that
The old man in the moonÂ
is a folk tale saying
and 'white' is skin colour.
Terry.
Thanks, Terry, The Chinese legend says it's a beautiful young woman with her jade rabbit on the moon -- it turns out none ;-)
