Forced behind the thicket fence.
Roses rooted…a spiny defence.
Feelings fading and I`m
Chasing them down.
Bloodhound. Bloodhound.
7 senses?
Profound.
Whilst,
Seaweed sticks
To salty shores.
A solid promise.
A rule, a law.
A convention.
To live life on my terms.
So soon, I learnt, Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
To roll the dice.
As role models walked,
2 eyes were blind.
It's safer to live that way.
To flee instead of stay.
Now they`re,
Leaders wanting leaders,
And I've heard this all before.
A shaky stance, A shameful dance,
Hidden and bottled and stored.
Now they`re,
Pointing fingers blaming fingers,
And clambered at my door.
A shaky voice, a cashed in promise,
Forgiven, forgotten and stored.
They pluck the strings.
Loose ends, some things should keep in Vegas,
One day I`ll break em and scream through city streets
“Traitors, bloody traitors!”
And I`d be right,
Without a shadow of a doubt.
Or wing to call my name.
Serves me right.
An occasion alright…
To put out fire,
With the flame.
And so, we spin.
And so, we live
To fight...
Another day.

This is quite an offload I feel and one many of us can relate to. Feeling true to ourself can be difficult in a world where society forces us to be conditioned to have a mindset that suits those in power. And as so well said in this piece. With those leaders, it really can feel like the blind leading the blind. Fuel being added to the fire all the time, as we spiral out of control. No one wants to take the wrap for the mess created. So finger pointing begins. Leaving the chaos to continue to evolve and spread like wildfire.Â

brilliant wording here. You are always such an inspiring read my friend. You manage to convey your meaning in such creative ink. Hi Gwen, thank you for your lovely comment and support as always, but I can feel it building up inside of me. Yep, gonna rant away. I just feel like everyone these days is trying to follow their role models, thier personal leaders. This can be, the most achieved, the best looking, the most popular. Yet it's these people that are looking for support themselves. To be honest, a quite years ago I found myself in a situation where my main rival, who everyone looked up to, was looking to me for support. Noticing my skills and habits and following suit. I still cant quite figure out if that was wise or not. To be honest, out of everything is that I think we hold people of interest on a pedestal, thinking they could do no wrong, and will always achieve because it looks like it comes so naturally. I think we forget that everyone's just a person. And no person is perfect. Thank you again my kind, sweet friend, I guess it's just got to that stage of night where I talk a lot to no one in particular.Â
I just wanted to say, that there's a big thank you coming up. Its gonna take me a while to write it, but its gonna showcase heaps of poets. I trust, that your name will be one of the top. Till then, keep safe and well. Your words mean so much to me~

Thanks Neville! Everyone calls me Max on here, I'm usually a lot more active than not... tad bit busy at the moment haven't been able to find voice. But thank you, its comments like these that motivate me to continue writing and explore. Your words mean a great deal.

Max I'm late to your party here so maybe things have changed.
But if not let it all out at the top of your voice and thumping the walls helps then thump them, hard. Vent it all and release that catharsis and then assuredly move on. Like a reset a mortal reset.
Those who lead, really lead, are few and far between the ones who aren't out to line their pockets or revealing endless double standards, etc, etc, etc and I could go on to infinity here.
You literally put your heart and soul into you writes and fearless too.
Well worded and so direct in your train of thought and expression for all to hear so loud and clear and sharply.
Good on you and great to read my friend for better a lion to roar than a mouse to squeak. And that's how it should be sometimes and thanks Max and hang in there.

Ahh thanks so much Shaun. Yes, it's troublesome indeed. Through Uni, I have seen many in leadership/activist positions. But only a scarce few actually do anything substantial. Seems like people just like the title for their resume these days. I`m really glad you like my take on poetry. I know I can be a little raw or misunderstood sometimes, but it's true that I put my heart in every write.
