Poem -

Leave Behind That Troubled Mind

To all those memories too painful to remember,
To the soft yet sharp touch of all the sugar coated lies,
To the salt of betrayal laid in the cuts like ember,
To the voiceless voices that acted as his disguise,

And every piece of heart that shattered:
Although your heart is crushed and your wounds bleed,
This is not the worst and not the last that you'll be battered.
More shall come with their dirty deeds,

They shall make promises they will not keep.
They shall break you more and more each time,
And more and more so you'll weep,
But with each scar that's left you'll grow wiser.

This is to all the ones who deny their crimes,
To the ones who knock you down and pick up Budweisers.
