LEGENDS- My Challenge, Created By Linda

When I was a lad of eighteen, in the Spring of sixty-three;
I read a magazine article, that truly mesmerized me!
Twas about the wilds of Northern California, Humboldt County, the place;
Someone claiming with an unknown entity, had almost come face to face!

The legends call it “Bigfoot”, because it has monstrous feet;
A hirsuite colossal creature, for its size, so very fleet!
Native Americans have passed down knowledge, for many hundreds of years;
Their name for it is “Ba’wis”, recorded by Shamans and Seers!

I showed it to my best friend Artie, a bold plan we formulated then;
We’d drive out to the uninhabited territory, and both become famous men!
We would hike into the forest, pitch a tent, then fire up a meal;
Hoping that the meats sweet aromas, to Bigfoot would appeal!
.
Then we’d hide behind a large tree, cameras in our hands;
When he came, we’d take his photos, the rarest in all the land!
But when we thought about what could happen, we wisely cancelled our trip;
That he would prefer the flesh of humans, to that of sirloin tips!
