Leila

Since there is a woman in most of my poems 
I might as well put one together that's about 

This girl. Her name is Leila. She's a writer, 

Well, a journalist, in a photo pretending to be

A poet. In the photo she has a typewriter and a

Glass of what looks like liquor in one hand. 

The photograph is black and white. You can imagine her. She has light hair. Looks quite the 

Part and I quite fancy that. Sexier than if she 

Were scantly clad.

I think this is quite easily my favourite Rory McGinlay poem to date .. Very relatable & well .. very well crafted indeed .. Neville
