Poem -

Leila

Since there is a woman in most of my poemsĀ
I might as well put one together that's aboutĀ

This girl. Her name is Leila. She's a writer,Ā

Well, a journalist, in a photo pretending to be

A poet. In the photo she has a typewriter and a

Glass of what looks like liquor in one hand.Ā

The photograph is black and white. You can imagine her. She has light hair. Looks quite theĀ

Part and I quite fancy that. Sexier than if sheĀ

Were scantly clad.Ā
