Let Us Tear It Down

The ruins of the world, the mine stone of the caves, shall we live
Or shall we tear it down, the memories of the men, who created the world
The crumbling of the darkness, the creator of a century, a city, a town
The tumbling time, the saddened life that lies, and where men died
They now live in our houses, in the coals in our stoves, in the heat of our night
Let us tear it down, but let us know the richness of the time, the meaning of history
The meaning of a coal mans life, not torn down, but driven by the might
I am happy to call him my grandfather
